Arsenal are very eager to sign Red Bull Salzburg’s, Dominick Szoboszlai.
According to the Mirror, the Gunners are coming up with ways to pay the midfielder’s release clause of £23 million.
Szoboszlai was pretty much an unknown quantity but now, everyone wants him. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are closely monitoring the Hungarian after his stunning start to the campaign.
The 20-year-old helped his country earn a place in the European Championships by beating Iceland in their final group game. A route to RB Leipzig seems all too familiar as well given that is how most players progress from the Salzburg ranks. That is how we came to know of the likes of Sadio Mane, Naby Keita, Dayot Upamecano and plenty more.
Szoboszlai is a creative talent, capable of playing centrally or out wide. He has scored 22 times in 74 appearances for Salzburg, helping them to three league titles and two cups. He capped it off by earning the Austrian Bundesliga Player of the Season award.
Arsenal desperately need creative talent such as him. Mikel Arteta is struggling to get his team going in the opposition half and everyone can see why. Without Mesut Ozil, there is no one else who can unlock opposition defences with straight passes.
With competition heating up for Szoboszlai, Arsenal will need to move quick and fast. They might not get a chance to sign him beyond the January transfer window since his release clause is so low.
