Trossard feels the start of this season has shown how this year’s title race will be a close one.
Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard talks about the title race and he admits this season’s title race will go right to the wire. The North London club are doing great this season and they are going in the right direction.
The Gunners pulled off a good comeback against Chelsea. The Blues fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Arsenal are now second in the table and they are level on the points with the leaders. Trossard feels the start of this season has shown how this year’s title race will be a close one.
He said, “Obviously there are a lot of teams who have strengthened their squads and it will be a close call at the end.”
“But it is still early on and we need to take it game by game and try to win every game.
“Well done to the boys [against Chelsea] – they never let their heads go down and kept believing. You can see you only need one moment to change a game.
“Declan [Rice] scored a great goal and that got us into the game and believing again and, as you can see, we were still able to take points away.
“At the end if you are 2-0 down then you are happy to take a point away. But we also know that we can do better and need to take that with us to the next game.
“It is always more thinking about things more as a loss. But if you think about it, it is also a gained point if you are 2-0 down at a tough place against a team who is playing well.
“You have to bear that in mind as well. At the end, it is a good point – we just need to do better next time.”
