Sevilla has reached a personal agreement with the Arsenal player and is in advanced negotiations with the Gunners on an initial loan agreement that includes performance-related conditions, according to Football Insider. If Sevilla decides to sign Lokonga permanently at the end of the season, the arrangement will see him sign a loan contract with a buyout clause.

Given Arsenal’s plenty of alternatives in the midfield, the Belgian is reportedly eager to join the La Liga team because he believes he has no place there. Given that the midfield player has enough experience to win a permanent move to Arsenal next year, this will probably be his last loan agreement with the Gunners.

Sevilla and Arsenal settle on formula for player’s transfer

Sevilla is reportedly courting Arsenal’s Albert Sambi Lokonga, according to Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports. Sheth says it’s recognized that the agreement is a loan at first, but there are performance-related requirements that might make the loan permanent.

In other words, if Lokonga meets specific goals, then there will be a requirement to purchase the agreement. Although Arsenal reportedly wanted the acquisition clause to be placed at €12 million (£10.2 million), the exact amount of the clause has not been established.

Lokonga’s loan to Luton Town last season brought in £500,000 for Arsenal, and there’s a chance they also earned a fee for his loan to Crystal Palace. Lokonga was initially signed for £15 million.
