Arsenal have been chasing after Emmanuel Dennis for a while now.
Reports claim that the Gunners made a bid for him last summer but got rejected.
Club Brugge turned down their €18m offer since he was so important to their operations. Ironically, Dennis ended up getting dropped to the bench and moved out on loan to FC Koln this season.
The forward collected 9 goals last season and featured in just 6 league games by the time January rolled around. After a falling out with management, he was allowed to leave for the German top-flight. He has scored once in his 3 outings for Koln so far.
Dennis is a striker who likes to play centrally. Given his pace and skill, he is capable of playing from the flanks as well. Arsenal have been scouting him for a while now. They tried to sign him for £12m two years ago but came up short.
Good news is all signs indicate Dennis could be sold in the coming summer. His contract is due to run out in 2022 and Brugge will want to limit their losses on him. Arsenal can easily sign him at a cheaper rate but will it depend on Alexandre Lacazette’s contract extension?
