Arsenal are intensifying their efforts to land Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, with sources close to the club describing the Swedish forward as a “vital” addition to their attacking lineup.

Former Manchester United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, has revealed that Arsenal’s interest in the 25-year-old is unwavering ahead of the summer transfer window.
Isak, who joined Newcastle from Real Sociedad in 2022, has been a revelation in the Premier League.
With 50 goals and nine assists in just 89 appearances for Eddie Howe’s side, he’s established himself as one of the league’s most lethal forwards.
This season alone, Isak has netted 15 times and provided four assists across 22 appearances, including a standout performance in Newcastle’s Carabao Cup semi-final clash against Arsenal on January 7.
Arsenal have admired Isak for years, having missed out on signing him when he moved to St. James’ Park.
Now, with growing frustrations over their attacking options, the Gunners are determined to bring the prolific striker to the Emirates.
Brown, who spent over a decade at Manchester United during one of their most successful eras, described Isak as “one of the best in the world” and a perfect fit for Arsenal’s system.

“Isak has all the qualities of a world-class striker, and he would thrive in that Arsenal team. But Newcastle will be reluctant to sell, and any deal will come with a hefty price tag.”
While a January move seems unlikely due to the complexities and cost involved, Arsenal are reportedly preparing to push hard for Isak’s signature in the summer.
