Arsene Wenger has turned down offers from Premier League clubs due to his loyalty to Arsenal.
The Frenchman stepped down as Arsenal boss in 2018, after managing the club for 22 years and has been without work ever since.
He is the Gunners greatest ever manager and has kept his job with them even through various other job offers during his tenure. Recently, there have links of him taking up Ole Solskjaer’s post at Manchester United but the 69-year-old is not looking to entertain any such rumours.
“I’m an Arsenal man and after that I’m a professional. I can’t stop working,” said Wenger. “I decided to move out of the Premier League because I am too linked with Arsenal. I had opportunities to work in England but I turned them down. I don’t want to tell you [which clubs] because there are people in charge and it would unfair to them.”
The entire Arsenal fanbase are currently divided on Unai Emery and whether he should continue as the club manager. The Spaniard has led them to a rocky start this season after failing to improve the team much in his debut campaign.
Finishing in the top four of the Premier League is a huge necessity and one which eventually might decide his future at the Emirates. Emery has till the end of this season remaining in his contract.
