Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has given a fresh start to Matteo Guendouzi.

Guendouzi didn’t apppear for any Arsenal match after he played in the Brighton match in June – where Arsenal lost to Brighton. He had a clash with Neal Maupay once the last whistle was blown. The fight caused quite a lot to both Arteta and Guendouzi – where the 21 year old Arsenal youngster was speculated to move to Manchester City soon.

And of course, this was due to the souring of relationships between the Gunners manager and Guendouzi.

But now, the tables have turned. Arteta is ready to give another opportunity to the 21 year old.

“He deserves first of all to be treated exactly the same and I will do that to my best capability.”

He added: “I’ve been really clear that everybody starts from zero.

“What you did two weeks ago or two years ago, doesn’t really matter. It’s what you are able to contribute to the team now.

“Everybody is going to have the same opportunities. They have to show with their performance their attitude that they are better than their teammates or somehow contributing with what we want to achieve this season.”

Maybe we will see him on the field soon?
