Aubameyang Points Out Arsenal's Biggest Problem Right Now

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not one to shy away from criticism.

Being the Arsenal skipper, he recognizes the key factor in which the team is lacking.

Arsenal have only scored 9 goals in 9 Premier League games this season with their last goal coming against Manchester United in an Old Trafford win. It was a penalty scored by the Gabon international, who has also not scored a goal from open play since the opening game against Fulham in September.

He told Afrique Sport, “The biggest problem the club is facing right now is the lack of goals, but the manager and the rest of the players are trying to overcome this problem.

“Even though the results have not been good recently, we still hope that in the near future everything will be fine and we will surprise the world. We have the players that will take us to the level we want to get to.”

Due to the lack of attacking threat, Arsenal have been unable to put aside domestic opponents. Aubameyang has been left starved of service up top and other forwards are constantly misfiring.

It would be unfair to blame the 31-year-old solely since there is not enough creativity to serve his goal-scoring traits. Aubameyang hardly ever gets a scoring opportunity playing out from the left flank and that has shown in his lack of shots in recent games.
