Aubameyang was caught by the Sky Sports F1 team attending the Monaco Grand Prix qualifying.
Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has sent a message to former club Arsenal ahead of season 2022/23.
Aubameyang is one of the finest strikers of Arsenal and moved to Camp Nou in the winter transfer window. He did wonders with Barca and become the leading goal-scorer of the club.
Aubameyang had remained silent about Arsenal missing out on the top four in Premier League. The Gabon international was caught by the Sky Sports F1 team attending the Monaco Grand Prix qualifying where he was asked about his former side’s missed objective.
He said: “Yeah, really close and I think they did lot of improvement but I’m a bit sad because I think I wanted to catch them in the Champions League. I have a lot of good friends over there and I am wishing them good luck for next season.
“I think it’s gonna be a good thing to get back to Europa League for them. Hopefully, they can win it.”
Barcelona finished second in the La Liga table and they will take part in the Champions League but Arsenal missed out the qualification to Tottenham.
