Barcelona have ruled out a move for the Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Arsenal star is in imperious form right now. He has always been a prolific striker.
Earlier in his career he was playing in the Bundesliga and came to limelight while playing for Borussia Dortmund. He was scoring goals abundant when Arsenal snapped him up in Wenger’s final season.
The club were rewarded handsomely for their investment over two years as Auba has taken his game to a different level under the North London side.
Particular in this year, with the Gunners struggling, Arsenal have needed Aubameyang’s help a lot. And he has stepped up to the plate.
His form saw the rise of Barcelona’s interest in him. The Catalan side have not been good in front of goal and with Luis Suarez getting injured in January, their recruitment emergency had to be stepped up 10 fold.
However, recently Auba mentioned that he is the new Arsenal captain and does not see himself leaving. Moreover, now Barcelona have also reportedly decided to not follow up on Auba given his age and the need to make him adapt to the Barcelona style of football.
Finally, Barcelona are also interested in other players like Rodrigo, who they feel are a better fit for them.
