According to sources, Arsenal attacker Kai Havertz is a target for Bundesliga team Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window. Arsenal defeated Chelsea 1-0 in the second leg of their League Cup semi-final on Tuesday night to win 4-2 on aggregate thanks to a goal from Havertz in the seventh minute of second-half added time.

In the opening week of the season, the Germany international had a knee injury that required a successful minor surgical procedure at the end of August. It was thought that Havertz’s absence would last weeks instead of months, but the forward for Arsenal just made a comeback at the start of January.

Mikel Arteta handed him a start in the Gunners’ 4-0 victory over Leeds United over the weekend after easing him back into the fold, and on Tuesday he came off the bench to score the game-winning goal against Chelsea.

According to the Spanish website Fichajes, Havertz is now Vincent Kompany’s top target to bolster their attack in the summer, and Bayern Munich want to poach the Germany international in the summer.

Bayern Munich interested in signing Kai Havertz

Havertz’s future is uncertain due to Bayern Munich’s interest, even if he is back to full fitness and still plays a crucial role in Arteta’s plans. The player could want to return to Germany, and Arsenal would be open to paying him to bolster their team.

He is no longer a regular starter due to fierce competition at the North London club, and Bayern wants to take full advantage of this. One of the main reasons the German giants are vying for his signature is his versatility to play anywhere in an attack.

According to Kompany, his presence might improve Harry Kane’s performances even further. His addition will greatly strengthen the attacking rotation of the Bundesliga powerhouses. The 26-year-old attacker will be an ideal substitute since Serge Gnabry’s future is unknown.

Havertz will have the ideal chance to restart his career in the meantime if he returns to his own country. He will be able to compete for all major trophies because he plays for Bayern. He will thus undoubtedly be tempted to join the German powerhouses. Bayern is already drafting financial proposals that can persuade both the player and the club.
