Following an apparent altercation with assistant Steve Holland, Ben White, returned to training with his Arsenal teammates in Dubai.

The 25-year-old was absent from the first two Group B games due to illness, and he also missed the 3-0 victory over Wales. The Football Association announced the next day that he had left the training camp.

Gareth Southgate, the manager of England, stated that it is crucial that White’s decision to leave the World Cup for personal reasons be “respected” after a report of an alleged fight with Holland surfaced.

White left for “personal reasons,” according to the governing body, and it was not anticipated that he would join the team in Qatar.

The defender struggled to get along with teammates during training camp and had an argument with assistant coach Holland in front of the rest of the England team. In a press conference on the eve of England’s 2-1 loss to France in the World Cup quarterfinal on Saturday, Southgate rejected the possibility that the story might serve as an unwelcome distraction.

White took a few days off before joining the Gunners on their tour of Dubai in preparation for the start of the Premier League season as they attempt to hold onto first place in the standings.
