Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have been stripped off captaincy earlier last week.
The Gabon striker was denied his captain’s armband after a disciplinary breach and have not been featured since.
The 32-year old striker has missed four games in total and his club teammate Ben White claims the squad misses their captain.
Manager Mikel Arteta has named a leadership group comprising of Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey instead of opting for a club captain.
The Gunners have secured their position in the top-four and have been performing well in the recent weeks.
“It hasn’t really looked it on the scoresheet. We’ve been playing well,” White told talkSPORT when asked if the Aubameyang situation has been a distraction for the team.
“Obviously it’s disappointing for Auba but we’ve all got our heads down and we’re working hard.
“He’s a really nice guy, we all miss him, but it is what it is.”
