Saka will become a free agent in 2024 if he does not sign a new contract.
According to transfer insider Dean Jones, Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is likely to sign a new contract at the Emirates.
The 20-year-old has been linked to both Manchester City and Liverpool. Dean Jones has a different view on it and he says technical director Edu will not entertain offers for him.
The Daily Mail reported that Arsenal had offered Saka a new long-term contract that is worth at least double his current £70,000-a-week salary.
The same outlet has also reported that City are interested in the winger, hence Arsenal’s decision to accelerate talks over an extension.
Saka will become a free agent in 2024 if he does not sign a new contract at the Emirates. Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is a fan of the Englishman.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “Edu particularly won’t entertain offers for Saka at the moment and doesn’t believe that even a Liverpool bid could force the club to sell at the moment, so I think he will sign a new contract.”
Saka was Arsenal’s top scorer in the Premier League, netting 11 times in 38 games for the north London club, while he also came up with seven assists.
He is the sort of player that the Gunnners need to be building around rather than selling.
