Arsenal are favorites to sign Moises Caicedo before the deadline day.
Two London clubs are interested in the Brighton midfielder and Arsenal are currently leading the race for his signature.
The 21-year-old has bagged two goals and made three assists in 31 appearances for the Seagulls this season.
He has been a key player in Roberto de Zerbi’s side this campaign and the club is refusing to leave the player for cheap.
Brighton demands £90m for their prized midfielder even though they paid £4.5m two seasons back.
Caicedo is undoubtedly one of the best players in his position in the Premier League and recently expressed his desire to move to a bigger club.
Arsenal has already seen their second bid of £70m get rejected yesterday and are preparing a world-record fee for the 21-year-old.
He said to Sky Sports: “Signing Moises Caicedo would be really good for Arsenal.
“He’s a young player who is very talented and knows the Premier League. I feel it’s one of the last spots in this Arsenal squad that fans are worried about if Thomas Partey got injured.
“But if they get the correct pieces in, they’ll give themselves a good chance. It was a clever initial bid but it’s difficult for Brighton to sell now.”
