Willian has warned David Luiz about getting nutmegged the next time Arsenal face off against Chelsea.
The two London sides are scheduled to meet in the Premier League next month.
When asked about going up against his compatriot, Willian told Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, “I’ve faced him a few times, he for Chelsea, me for Shakthar, me for Chelsea, he for PSG. Now it’s he for Arsenal. He’s a brother that I have, we met at the age of eight. But on the pitch… there’s no way. If I have to nutmeg him, I will.”
Luiz has largely been criticised for his role in the 2-2 draw against Southampton last weekend. Former Arsenal player, Martin Keown is ready to see the centre-half get dropped by Unai Emery as he said, “They gave the job to Emery but that is beginning to look like it was the wrong move. Now the decision-makers at Arsenal have another big call to make: do they stick with Emery or look elsewhere?
“Arsenal are lost at the moment. If they decide to stick with Emery then the manager has big decisions to make himself.”
Former club captain Tony Adams was not at all happy with Luiz’s performance either. He told BT Sport, “They’re all sleeping look at Luiz here. What is Luiz doing? He’s just standing there. They’ve tried to play out from the back creating their own problems and they’re not into this game at all hopefully they might get a reaction.”
