The Frenchman had a brilliant start to his Arsenal career as Mikel Arteta’s side currently sits at the top of the Premier League table.
Saliba has contributed two goals and made some amazing defensive moments in some of the matches he played.
He joined the North London club in 2019 but has gone on three successive loan spells in the last three years.
He has only two years left on his Arsenal contract and the club is keen to tie him down to a new lucrative contract.
Despite starting all the games this season, Saliba is not in a rush to make any decision as heard from The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.
“The situation as I understand is that he’s not in a rush to come and sit down (to sign a new contract),” Ornstein said. “He’s focusing on his football. What does he need to rush for?
“Let’s see how things go and let’s see if this is going to be a consistent run in the team because we’re still relatively early into the season.
“The power is all in Saliba’s hands in this situation.”
