David Raya will join Arsenal on a season-long loan this summer.

The Spaniard has been one of the most consistent goalkeepers in the Premier League and is looking for a new challenge this summer.

Raya will join the Emirates on a season-long loan and Arsenal has an option to make the deal permanent for £27m next summer.

He will bolster Arsenal’s goalkeeping options after Matt Turner decided to join Nottingham Forest on a permanent deal.

Aaron Ramsdale is already Arsenal’s No.1 goalkeeper and Raya wouldn’t be looking to act as a second fiddle to the Englishman.

Pundit Danny Murphy claims Raya would soon replace Ramsdale as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.

‘It’s a really difficult one because most clubs don’t have two equally good goalkeepers,’ Murphy said on the FIVE YouTube channel.

‘For obvious reasons that doesn’t work. This insecurity kicks in with goalkeepers if they think they could get replaced every weekend.

‘Ramsdale is too good to be No. 2 and so is Raya. I think Raya is Mikel Arteta’s No. 1. I think Ramsdale will start the season for Arsenal but Raya will replace him pretty soon.’
