Raul de Tomas is rated at €35m by Espanyol, after an impressive season in Catalonia
Arsenal are rumoured to be eyeing Espanyol hitman Raul de Tomas as a January transfer target.
The Premier League club has been linked with a move for Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic but it looks tough now. The Serie A side are holding out for close to €70m for the Serbian international.
Fiorentina’s strong stance on Vlahovic could block a possible move before the transfer window closes. As per the reports of Mundo Deportivo, de Tomas was rated as a cut-price option for Arsenal.
He is rated at €35m by Espanyol, after an impressive season in Catalonia, on the back of scoring 23 league goals in their promotion campaign in 2020/21.
The former Real Madrid striker is contracted to Espanyol until 2026, with a release clause of €70m. Espanyol could be tempted into a sale, if the Spain international wants to avoid a relegation scrap.
Gunners are yet to make a signing during the winter window but he is in line to strengthen Arteta’s squad options.
