Declan Rice has backed Arteta’s comments against VAR.
The English midfielder claims the Arsenal squad loved their manager’s passionate VAR rant after their defeat to Newcastle United.
The Spaniard has blasted the VAR after they allowed Anthony Gordon’s controversial goal on that night.
It was Mikel Arteta’s first Premier League loss of the new campaign and their undefeated record came to an end after a controversial decision.
He labeled the referees as “embarrassing” and “a disgrace” even though he could be punished by the FA for his outburst.
Summer signing Declan Rice has revealed that the players wholeheartedly embrace the manager’s emotional reaction and enthusiasm in the post-match interview.
He said: “We love it. I think you see how passionate he is. He sometimes gets criticised for how he is on the sidelines, but he is living the game through us.
“He’s so energetic and the way he speaks, he’s like a teacher the way he is in the changing room with us and that really fires us up for the game and I think that’s what he’s really good at.”
