The England midfielder, who joined Arsenal from Crystal Palace for £67.5 million this past summer, is settling in quickly at his new club.

While he expected a high standard from the entire squad, Eze singled out Timber for his exceptional quality and character, describing the Dutchman as an inspiring figure.

“Everyone is sort of what you expect them to be,” Eze stated on the Beast Mode On podcast.

“And the expectation of all the players is high. I would say one player that has gone even beyond the high expectations that I already had, because I’d heard good things about him, is Jurrien Timber.”

Eze went on to praise not only Timber’s ability on the pitch but also his professional demeanour.

“He’s a special player and a special guy,” Eze continued.

“To see guys like him, who perform the way they perform, carry themselves the way they carry themselves, it’s inspiring, for sure.”

The new signing also took time to laud the impact of manager Mikel Arteta, describing the atmosphere at the club as a “special place to be.”

He credited Arteta’s relentless drive and meticulous attention to detail for creating a culture geared towards constant improvement.

“He [Arteta] is incredible,” Eze said.

“The type of player that I can see I will become in this environment, in the culture that he’s created…

He’s a special, special guy, you can see that he is driven, focused and relentless every day.”

Eze’s positive start at Arsenal, which has included two goals and three assists, coincides with the team’s strong form.

The Gunners currently sit top of the Premier League and remain unbeaten in the Champions League, with their new midfielder clearly feeling inspired by both his manager and a surprisingly impressive teammate in Jurrien Timber.
