Eddie Nketiah has been tipped to leave Arsenal this summer.
Mikel Arteta no longer fancies the young forward and has him behind everybody in the pecking order.
West Ham United are interested in his services as an exit looks imminent. Nketiah’s contract is only set to last until next summer and Arsenal just handed Folarin Balogun a new contract.
Former Premier League goalkeeper, Paddy Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams, “You’d definitely rather play for West Ham than Arsenal at the moment.
“They lost at the weekend but they’re still in the race for Europe. But the way Arsenal are going, there’s no way they are going to get back into Europe.
“As it stands, you’d be looking at West Ham if he’s wanting to push himself and play at the top level. Moyes is a big factor in that. He has always given youth a chance and he’s one of those managers who can turn players around.”
Arsenal are ninth in the Premier League table after drawing 1-1 against Fulham. Their hopes of European qualification all stand on their Europa League campaign. They last played in the Champions League 5 seasons ago.
