If Torreira is to stay permanently then it depends on Fiorentina’s qualification for European football.
Arsenal chief Edu is going to have a conversation with Fiorentina this week over Lucas Torreira.
The 25-year-old midfielder is on a season-long loan in Florence.
According to La Repubblica, Arsenal and Fiorentina will meet in the coming days to resolve Torreira’s future.
The Gunners midfielder is enjoying his best time at Fiorentina and has been tipped to turn his loan spell into a permanent switch this summer.
He has made 20 appearances in Serie A’s 23 league games. Some reports suggest that Vincenzo Italiano wants to trigger the £12.7million buy option in his contract.
Meanwhile, if Torreira is to stay permanently then it depends on Fiorentina’s qualification for European football. Fiorentina currently stands at eighth, three points behind Lazio in sixth with 15 games left.
