The center-back Ayden Heaven of Arsenal is being courted by Eintracht Frankfurt. The 18-year-old, who has been a member of Arsenal’s youth team since he was 12, made his first-team debut in October against Preston North End in the Carabao Cup. Although he hasn’t played yet this season, Heaven has been on the bench in three Premier League games and now practices frequently with Arsenal’s first team. Heaven, who joined Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri at the academy, is someone Arsenal is eager to retain.
Nevertheless, Heaven’s scholarship term with Arsenal expires in the summer, and he has not committed to a professional contract. Speaking on Friday night, Markus Krosche, CEO of Eintracht Frankfurt, affirmed that the Bundesliga team had approached Heaven. Arsenal was contacted. Krosche stated, “We try to sign him,” prior to Eintracht Frankfurt’s 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund at home. “He is an excellent prospect, and we will try to work out a solution with him.”
Arsenal teen Heaven in talks with Frankfurt
According to Krosche’s candid revelation, Heaven, who attended the same academy as Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly—two players who have advanced to significant positions in Mikel Arteta’s senior squad—is expected to leave Arsenal. The Standard said earlier this week that Frankfurt is considering Heaven. Given that he was nurtured at their academy, Arsenal would at least be entitled to pay if they were to lose the center-back, even though they would like to keep him.
In addition to playing in Arsenal’s preseason tour of the United States, Heaven made his senior debut in the Carabao Cup in October against Preston North End. However, he might now follow in the footsteps of players like Jamie Gittens, Jude Bellingham, and Jadon Sancho, who traveled to Germany to showcase their skills in the hopes of landing a regular spot in the first squad.
