Arsenal boss Unai Emery believes that his team should focus only on themselves and not on other teams. The Gunners went back to 4th place in the Premier League after defeating Southampton 2-0 thanks to goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Following the match, Emery said, “Our focus is on our way because we cannot control the result with Manchester United, Chelsea or Tottenham, only when we are going to play against them. That’s the only moment when we can decide their result and ours. The most important thing in our matches is to think step by step and game by game and on Wednesday we want three points against Bournemouth.”
Arsenal play Bournemouth on Wednesday before playing the North London Derby against old rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Arsenal are currently 7 points behind Mauricio Pochettino’s side but Emery thinks his team can beat Spurs. Emery said, “We want the same three points against Tottenham and the only difference is that we can control our result and their result.
