Fabrizio Romano unveils Ivan Toney’s keen interest in joining Arsenal

Fabrizio Romano, the renowned transfer expert, has revealed that Brentford’s Ivan Toney is keen on joining Arsenal during the January transfer window. Despite going through financial challenges in their pursuit, Arsenal remains committed to the brilliant striker.

“Victor Osimhen is not on the market and many others are not available on the market. Toney is a player they appreciate, this is true and from what I’m hearing, Toney would be keen on a move to Arsenal.

“But at the moment the financial package is way too expensive for Arsenal. Brentford want crazy money as their manager confirmed a couple of days ago, so I think this is going to be a complicated one.”

Toney, who is nearing the conclusion of an eight-month betting ban, has drawn the interest of Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal management. Romano has revealed that the Gunners have been looking into the idea of signing Toney, which might help them with their current offensive woes.

While Arsenal has been struggling with a weak offense in recent weeks, Romano points out the club’s dedication to chasing Toney, who is seen as a solution to their goal-scoring problems. The Gunners’ recent three defeats illustrate the need for reinforcements, with wasted opportunities haunting their performances.

Despite ideas that Arsenal is prioritizing a center-back due to financial restrictions, Romano believes the club’s interest in Toney remains strong.

The transfer expert speculates on likely developments in the coming weeks, including whether Arsenal may persuade Brentford to sell, despite the Bees’ steadfast stance on their nine-figure valuation.

As Toney’s return to action on January 16th approaches, coinciding with Brentford’s FA Cup clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers, the transfer saga continues to unfold.
