Fabrizio Romano suggests Reiss Nelson could depart Arsenal in summer shake-Up

Fabrizio Romano has hinted at the possibility of Reiss Nelson bidding adieu to his long-standing Arsenal journey this summer.

Despite no urgent desire from either party to part ways, Romano suggests that should a tempting offer come knocking, both Nelson and the Gunners will entertain the notion.

Romano wrote in his Daily Briefing: “Another name to watch at Arsenal is Reiss Nelson. It’s a possibility that he could be leaving the club.

“There was interest in Nelson last summer but he ended up signing a new contract. Still, he will now consider proposals in the summer and Arsenal too.

“They’re not desperate to part ways, only in case there’s a good proposal in the summer transfer window.”

Nelson, a product of Arsenal’s youth system, has struggled to cement a regular spot in Mikel Arteta’s lineup despite flashes of brilliance.

With a mere 650 minutes of senior team action this season, speculation looms over his future.

The 24-year-old winger’s prowess in speed and dribbling hasn’t gone unnoticed, potentially drawing interest from fellow Premier League contenders, notably Crystal Palace under the dynamic leadership of Oliver Glasner.

The Eagles’ impressive form and attractive playing style could provide a fitting stage for Nelson’s talents to flourish.

While Arsenal maintains a vested interest in retaining Nelson’s services, the allure of regular playing time elsewhere may sway the winger towards a new chapter in his career.

As the summer transfer window approaches, the footballing world awaits to see if Nelson will indeed spread his wings beyond the Emirates Stadium.
