Five Players Arsenal Might Sell Off This Summer

Arsenal are clearly on the offensive now after losing Aaron Ramsey for absolutely nothing to Juventus in the 2018/19 season.

The Gunners hierarchy revealed to the fans ahead of the 2-0 victory over Manchester United that contracts will be handled with a much more sincerely from now. Giving in to player’s demands will no longer be the norm at the Emirates.

The club has decided to sell players whoever expresses disinterest in signing an extension when they are in the final two seasons of their deals.

Currently, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Shkodran Mustafi, Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Sokratis Papastathopoulos have just over two more years left on their agreements with Arsenal. It is being reported that any one of them could head for the exit door in the upcoming transfer window to make way for new faces.

However, as many Arsenal fans would agree, it would be foolish for the club to sell Aubameyang who is currently their highest goalscorer. Shipping out Sokratis is also an unrealistic move since he is the club’s best defender alongside Nacho Monreal and was only signed last summer from Borussia Dortmund.

Mustafi seems to be the most likely one to leave after this campaign due to his obvious disappointments on the pitch. Both he and his compatriot, Ozil has dropped down in the pecking order ever since Unai Emery took charge of the club.

Mkhitaryan has run hot and cold with his form since coming into the Emirates but he has gained the appreciation of a lot of fans for his recent displays. The Armenian is highly versatile but does not have much sell-on value due to his age.
