Arsenal academy starlet, Yunus Musah has signed a long-term contract with Valencia.
CBS Sports understands that the 18-year-old has a release clause worth €100 million.
His contract is due to run until June 2026 with a pretty impressive pay package for a teenager. Of course, if he continues to develop at such a rapid rate, his wages might not even look like much in a few years time.
Musah filled into Ferran Torres’ role at Valencia to really impress his coaches. Valencia were so happy with his displays that they decided to secure his future for the long term. Arsenal originally wanted to keep him but could not convince him into staying.
“I cannot express my gratitude to the overwhelming support the club gave me throughout the course of my journey with Arsenal,” said Musah after leaving the Emirates.
“Not a day will pass without remembrance to those who have helped me achieve in my career thus far. A profuse thank you to all of my teammates and staff who have helped consolidate me as a player. Once a Gunner, always a Gunner.”
Musah has already made 10 La Liga appearances for Valencia and has recently earned a call-up to the US Men’s National Team. England are trying to convince into putting on the Three Lions badge at international level.
Could this become a deal that Arsenal live down to regret? They have produced plenty of fine talent over the years but not many have impressed as much as Musah has elsewhere.
