Ferdinand doesn’t think there will be enough for Arsenal to go and win it.
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand admits there are more twists to be expected in the current Premier League title race.
Arsenal and Manchester City are battling hard for the Premier League title. Arsenal are chasing glory since 2004 and Man City are looking to make a hattrick of the titles.
Arsenal dropped points last month and after playing three regular draw games, they lost to Man City. It hurt them in the historic title. However, the Gunners are not in modd to give up.
Pep Guradiola’s side is leading now, but the season is far from over and the race could reach the final weekend of the season if Arsenal continues to win.
The Daily Mail quotes Ferdinand saying:
‘There’s a twist or two still left, I think.
‘But I don’t think there will be enough for Arsenal to go and win it.
‘As much as I banter Arsenal, what they have done this season is nothing short of amazing.
‘You have given this juggernaut of a team (Man City) a run for the title for the whole of the season, Remarkable stuff.’
Arsenal will have another tough game and they will face Brighton next. They would expect a win and hope for Man City’s loss who also have one game against in-form Brighton.
