Freddie Ljungberg Not Satisfied With 2-2 Norwich City Draw

Freddie Ljungberg was disappointed to start his managerial post with a 2-2 draw against Arsenal.

Arsenal looked much better going forward than they have in the recent past but their defensive issues came back to haunt them on Sunday.

Teemu Puki punished the pair of Shkodran Mustafi and David Luiz foor poorly marking him with a deflected opener. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equalised just 8 minutes later from the penalty spot.

Norwich retook the lead through Todd Cantwell in the first half but Aubameyang again leveled the scoreline with a thumping effort from close range. The Cannaries came very close to collecting all three points, if it were not for an outstanding Bernd Leno save and a few missed opportunities.

“We started the game really well, that’s how I want to play football,” Ljungburg told Sky Sports. “But we need to work on the transitions, we dominated and they break us too easily.

“In the beginning I saw a lot of things we worked on in training, but we need to score goals and take the lead.

“I want this club to do well, it is only winning that counts: I wanted to win the games so I am disappointed but I have also seen some positive things.”
