Victor Osimhen could join Arsenal in the summer.
The Nigerian forward recently signed a new contract but has still a lot of interest from across Europe.
His new contract with Napoli extends until the summer and his release clause is set to be between €120m and €130m.
The 25-year-old striker fired Napoli to the Serie A title last season and became the first African player to finish as the league’s top goalscorer.
Almost every top club in the Premier League has been linked with Victor Osimhen, Arsenal are deemed favorites to land the Nigerian international.
Mikel Arteta isn’t pleased with Gabriel Jesus’ output in front of goal and wants to bring someone who can guarantee a certain amount of goals.
The Gunners are expected to push for a star striker in the summer with Osimhen being one of the club’s primary targets.
Pundit Gary Lineker believes Osimhen would be a great fit for the Gunners.
Lineker said: “I think I’d look at it and I’d go, at the moment, Arsenal.
“I would say, Arsenal are probably a centre-forward away from winning things. Chelsea are a centre-forward away from becoming competitive again. Manchester United are a centre-forward away from improving, but they’ve still got a long way to go.
“If I were him, you want to go somewhere where you think you’re going to win things.”
