The Premier League title race prediction made by Gary Neville has been modified just six games into the new season. Neville eliminated Chelsea, Newcastle, and Aston Villa from the title fight last month after an exciting first weekend of the season, declaring that Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City will compete.
After Liverpool defeated Bournemouth 4-2 to begin their title defense, Arsenal and Man City defeated Manchester United and Wolves, respectively, on the road. “Everyone has a chance to win the Premier League, including Liverpool, Arsenal, and Man City,” Neville stated on his Sky Sports podcast.
I don’t think you can look at any of the three and conclude that they are inherently superior than the others; they are all equal cases.”There are legitimate cases for each of those three teams.
Liverpool may be the clear favorite, but even though all of the teams have a good chance of winning the league, I don’t think any of them will be really certain. “I believe it is very close.”
Arsenal closed the gap on Liverpool
The former defender for Manchester United and England also thinks that the fact that there are only two clubs that can win the Premier League this season is obvious. Liverpool, the current leaders and reigning champions, lost shockingly to Crystal Palace earlier in the weekend, while Arsenal defeated Newcastle by a significant margin.
“Mikel Arteta has an incredible team,” Neville stated on his Sky Sports podcast following Arsenal’s thrilling victory at St. James’ Park. “He has a fantastic team; I believe that he has the league’s best team and possibly the best squad, and I say that quietly because Liverpool is great.”
“I don’t think anyone else can win this league; only Liverpool and Arsenal have that much potential.” It’s a significant occasion, in my opinion. Speaking in such a manner as someone who has witnessed title races is absurd, and it’s just September.
