Arsenal are back into the conversation of title contenders.

The Gunners secured an emphatic 3-1 win against Liverpool at the Emirates on Sunday night to close their gap with the league-leaders by just two points.

Liverpool had the chance to knock Arsenal out of the title race and increase their lead in the league table.

But the Gunners made an excellent first-half display and took the lead through a goal by Bukayo Saka which was then equalised by an own goal from Gabriel Magalhaes.

A mix-up between Alisson and Van Dijk helped Gabriel Martinelli with a goal and Leandro Trossard wrapped up with the night’s final goal.

Arsenal were seen wildly celebrating after the win which was heavily criticised by Man United legend Gary Neville.

He said: ‘The celebrations at the end I don’t think were of a team that thought they were going to go on and win the title,’ said Neville on Sky Sports afterwards.

‘I think they were of a team that didn’t want to be out of a title race, and that was the relief that we saw at the end.

‘So for me they’re a really well coached team, their system is good, their way of playing is good, but just that real important last bit [is missing].

‘Liverpool have got Jota, Salah, Gakpo, Diaz, they’ve got so much threat Liverpool. And I think that, in the end, will just be a problem.’
