Arsenal’s stalwart midfielder Granit Xhaka is likely to leave the club this summer. He appears to bid final bye to the North London club.
Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly on the verge of clinching a £13m deal to secure the services of the Arsenal star.
The Swiss guy is now entering the final year of his contract with Arsenal. He has drawn long-standing interest from Bayer Leverkusen.
According to transfer cheerleader Fabrizio Romano, Leverkusen is set to sign Xhaka for a sum of €15 million (£13m/$16.3m).
The German outfit is believed to be in ‘advanced talks’ to bring Xhaka into the fold. An agreement on a four-year deal is reportedly imminent, which would draw a curtain on Xhaka’s seven-year tenure at North London.
Xhaka is likely to return to familiar territory next season. As he prepares to play for Bayer Leverkusen, the next chapter of his career promises to be as exciting as the last.
