FootballTransfers can exclusively reveal that Arsenal is closely monitoring Tino Livramento, a full-back for Newcastle. Livramento has become a top target for the Gunners, according to sources; however, it’s unclear if the three-time England star will be pursued in January.

The 23-year-old is a player who meets the criteria that manager Mikel Arteta and sports director Andrea Berta are looking for. According to Arsenal, the Newcastle player could easily fill the right-back position because of his style, which is comparable to that of Jurrien Timber.

Livramento is also adaptable enough to play on the left. Arteta is known to prize this versatility, and the Gunners also value players who have demonstrated their abilities in the Premier League. Livramento, whose contract expires in 2028, has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €54.5 million. However, Newcastle is unlikely to let such a significant player in Eddie Howe’s plans depart with ease, especially in the middle of the season.

Livramento could be sensational addition for Arsenal

Newcastle icon Alan Shearer has high esteem for the England player, calling him sensational. Having made a name for himself in the Premier League, he obviously has the potential to succeed at the Emirates Stadium.

In fact, the 23-year-old already has 105 appearances in the top division, and he has performed well enough throughout that time to earn a spot in Thomas Tuchel’s plans. In September, he put on a strong performance for England against Serbia.

With an average pass-completion percentage of 85.8% over the last year, which puts him in the 91st percentile when compared to other full-backs, the Newcastle star has demonstrated his composure when playing for his country.

Although Arsenal has the best defensive record in the Premier League, it might be a good idea to add another right-back, and Livramento could be a good fit, given the previously mentioned report that indicates White is not happy.
