Arsenal’s emphatic 5-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday came at a heavy cost, with fears mounting over a potentially significant hamstring injury to star winger Bukayo Saka.

Bukayo Saka Injury Blow: Arsenal Star Faces Potential Lay-Off

The 22-year-old was forced off the pitch in the first half, visibly in discomfort, and was later seen leaving Selhurst Park on crutches—a sight that has left fans and Arsenal management deeply concerned.

Saka, who has been instrumental in Arsenal’s campaign this season with five goals and 10 assists in the Premier League, is now set for scans to assess the extent of the damage.

Manager Mikel Arteta did little to ease the worries post-match, admitting:

“We’re really worried about that one. He felt something in his hamstring and couldn’t continue. It’s the third minor issue he’s had in this area, so we need to see how big this one is.”

Adding to Arsenal’s injury woes, Raheem Sterling, who has been a potential backup for Saka, also picked up a knock in training.

Though initial reports suggest Sterling’s issue might be less severe, Arteta acknowledged the challenges posed by the relentless fixture schedule.

The timing couldn’t be worse for the Gunners. Their upcoming fixtures include key Premier League matches, a Carabao Cup semi-final, and a high-stakes FA Cup clash with Manchester United.

With Saka sidelined, Arsenal will lose one of their most creative outlets, whose presence on the right flank has been crucial in unlocking defenses.

Fans will recall Saka’s previous struggles with hamstring issues while on England duty earlier this season, raising questions about the impact of his workload. With a packed schedule featuring games every three days, the risk of such injuries looms large.

Arteta, however, remains hopeful that his squad can adapt:
“The team will react. It’s tough, but we’ll keep competing. We’re in every competition for a reason, and we’ll fight for it all.”

As the club awaits the results of Saka’s scans, the focus shifts to finding solutions, with supporters bracing for what could be an extended absence of their talisman.
