Reports coming out of France suggests Hector Bellerin has been offered to Paris Saint-Germain.
According to RMC Sport, the Ligue 1 champions are considering a move for Arsenal’s Spanish right-back this very summer.
Either the representatives of Arsenal or Bellerin himself have offered him to PSG. This comes a week after David Ornstein claimed that Arsenal have no intention of selling Bellerin. But fresh news contiinue to pop out regarding his future as Mikel Arteta plots a massive exodus of players at North London.
Several names like Matteo Guendouzi, Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding are expected to move out of the Emirates this summer. The acquired funds are to be reinvested and Bellerin could fetch a decent sum of cash. He is still young at 25 years of age and was previously wanted by Inter Milan.
Even Fabrizio Romano shut down all rumours of Bellerin being swaped out for Juventus’ Daniele Rugani last week. With so many changes expected at Arsenal, would be the best decision to sell one of their oldest players? Arsenal cannot expect to address all of their issues within one transfer window. Offloading Bellerin right now could be detrimental especially when their isn’t a favourable backup to take his spot.
Cedric Soares has played lest than 10 games for the club and is 29 years old. Ainsley Maitland-Niles seems set on leaving for more first-team opportunities elsewhere and makeshift option, Calum Chambers is still injured. Arteta’s central focus will be on improving the midfield before taking on another headache for the right-back spot.
