Hector Bellerin is the subject of interest for a few Italian clubs, his agent confirmed.

Alberto Botines revealed to the press that the Arsenal full-back is wanted by Serie A outfits.

Bellerin has recently come back to the Gunners first team after suffering a long period on the sidelines. He has been named one of the club’s captains by Unai Emery alongside the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette.

“He likes Italy and there is interest from an Italian club, but I can’t reveal which one,” Alberto Botines said.

“He has a long-term contract and it will not be easy to take him away from Arsenal, he is the third captain. Right now he is focused on the team’s commitments. He comes from a serious injury and he recovers. We’ll see how the season goes.”

The final bits of the agent’s statement are interesting. Arsenal fans have gotten used to losing their best players for the lack of any achievements in the past couple of decades. But Bellerin was always pegged to remain a Gunner forever.

The Spaniard ditched Barcelona for the North Londoners and made his claim to a starting place when he was only 20 years old. Since then, he has grown into one of the most vocal figures at the club. It is sad to see even him questioning his future at Arsenal due to the catastrophic state the club is in.
