Unai Emery singled out Mesut Ozil in his post-match interview after the 2-0 victory over Newcastle United, to praise the German over his performance.
After constant rumours of a fallout between the two, it seems like both have them found middle ground with Ozil finding more and more minutes on the pitch.
The 30-year-old looked his best self against the Magpies. His sleek passes along with the quick one-twos on the edge of the opposition penalty box were far too much for Rafael Benitez’s men.
Emery said, “We were improving little by little and our first goal helped us a lot. Mesut Ozil has quality, when he can find the best performance for the team, he is playing like we want with the system and how tactically we want. He is giving us his quality.
“We are making progress in the table but we know it is difficult, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United are going to win a lot of games.”
“I think Aaron Ramsey is happy, he is helping us and is playing with a very good performance and scoring,” Emery added. “Each energy from the players is very important for us and he is doing that. We are at the most important moment of the season.”
Arsenal’s are due to face off against Everton on 7 April before a Europa League clash against Napoli on 11 April.
