William Saliba may make a comeback from injury for Arsenal against Wolves this weekend, according to Mikel Arteta. The defence hasn’t practised before the game and has missed the past four games.
However, Arteta said he will be evaluated before the match against the worst team in the league with the intention of perhaps making a comeback. Arteta remarked, “We have to wait and see.” We have an additional day because we didn’t train yesterday and he hasn’t trained with us yet. We will train this afternoon. Let’s check to see if he is accessible.
It was a really little issue. He had an ankle issue, which caused him to change how he ran and do other things. He also began to overload a certain place, which is a normal occurrence.
But eventually, it became painful to keep playing and training, so we had to quit. Although everything appears better, we still need to wait to find out if he can practise with the squad.
Four things spotted from latest Arsenal training session
The 35 pictures that were posted to Arsenal’s official website on Friday night did not feature Rice or Timber, as was to be expected. It would be expected that no pictures of either player would be released in order to keep Wolves in the dark, regardless of whether the two really took part in the session.
There is less time between Arsenal’s Saturday night game and Arteta’s “wait and see” update on both. The Gunners might easily win the three points without them given the opposition, but Arteta would love to have the two, and the midweek break that follows seems to increase their chances of making an appearance.
Trossard has only played 78 minutes in Arsenal’s previous five games, while Saliba has missed both of those games as well as the two before. Additionally, a possible new injury concern that might seriously interfere with Arteta’s goals has emerged from training.
It was not surprising that neither Trossard nor Saliba was seen on the training ground after Arteta had stated that their comeback would be in a few days.
