The Nerazzurri director, Guiseppe Marotta told Sky Sports Italy, “Perisic has asked to leave but there is no offer for him. We will see in the coming days. We will listen to the request of Perisic, he has put in a transfer request; we must try to satisfy him but also respect the value of him.”
Previous reports claimed that Gunners have already forwarded a loan offer for the Croatian with a bid to buy him back next summer for £34.5m. However, Inter have rejected the proposition due to their interests of an immediate sale.
Inter manager, Luciano Spalletti stated, “It’s a player that has been talked about because everyone values him as much as we do, and if anyone wants to buy him they will need to pay him good money because we rate him a lot.”
Perisic is a highly talented footballer who is due to turn 30 next month. He might not have a lot of resale value but Arsenal need a player like him to improve the team’s attack.
However, their limited financial abilities are halting all potential entries into the Emirates. Emery has only three more days to sort out a deal for Perisic. The winger’s desire to leave the San Siro immediately after the Gunners’ offer does give them some leverage in their future offer if they do come up with one.
