Johnson reckons that Spurs would be a better choice for Coutinho.
Glen Johnson gives his point on Coutinho and said that Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho would be happier choosing Tottenham over Arsenal. He wants a 29-year-old midfielder to leave Nou Camp next summer.
Johnson reckons that Spurs would be a better choice for Coutinho comparing to the Gunners. He feels a move to Emirates would dent Barcelona midfielder’s confidence even further.
He expressed his thoughts to Bettingodds.com: “He’s linked with the two big north London clubs, and if he was to go to one of them, then I’d say Tottenham if I’m being honest. Philippe knows that he’s not in a great position at the moment, and if he was to go to an Arsenal side who are struggling, then that could affect him even more.”
Mikel Arteta planned a deal for Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid but still, he is showing interest in Spanish midfielder. Spurs are also in the race and they need a good backup of Harry Kane.
