Jose Mourinho Open To Succeeding Unai Emery At Arsenal

According to the latest reports, Jose Mourinho would be open to succeeding Unai Emery if the Spaniard gets sacked.

The Portuguese coach has been out of a job ever since he got from his position at Manchester United nearly a year back.

Earlier this week it was reported that Mourinho was seeking a return to the Premier League as he wanted to become the first manager to win silverware with three different English clubs.

Tottenham Hotspur seemed to be the likely destination due to their obvious poor form. However, the tide seems to have shifted over to the other North London club after their recent draw against Crystal Palace following the 1-0 defeat against Sheffield United.

Emery’s side showed a bit of positivity in the 5-5 showdown at Anfield on Wednesday but eventually, they have to bow out of the Carabao Cup through penalties. The pressure is definitely mounting on the Spanish boss after fans noticing near to no improvements with the club in the last 15 months.

Mourinho has been waiting patiently for a spot to open up in one of his prefered destinations and reports claim the opportunity to manage Arsenal does appeal to him.

Arsenal have no current plans to sack Unai Emery but they might not hesitate if the recent form continues.
