Interests for the Spaniard has started coming in shortly after it was revealed that he was available in the market.
Hector Bellerin has not developed as fans would have expected him to over the years now. The 25-year-old is currently Arsenal’s longest-serving player with a contract until June 2023. Bellerin is also the vice-captain and important part of the dressing room.
Unfortunately, his impact on the pitch has been below par. Since his last injury, he has lost quite a bit of his pace and looks to have fallen behind competing players in the same position.
There is still plenty of interest for him across Europe. PSG were reportedly monitoring him last summer but a move never fell through. Now, there is talks of a return to Barcelona and possibly Juventus signing him off for €15m.
Arsenal have also sent out Ainsley Maitland-Niles on loan this season. That means on Bellerin’s departure they will only have Cedric Soares in the position unless they sign someone else.
Arteta and Edu Gaspar already oversaw a host of changes in the January transfer window. But fans can expect more in the coming summer. The Gunners are still very much in transition and there could still be plenty of change in personnel.
