Victor Osimhen could remain in Serie A amid links from Arsenal.
Victor Osimhen is the primary target for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal are pushing hard to secure the services of Napoli striker who helped his club to win the Serie A last season.
Arsenal now faces competition from Juventus. The Old Lady are also planning to sign the Nigeria international. Napoli man is likely to leave the club and find new challenges.
Osimhen has been a quality player and he remains the priority of the Gunners. The North London club will do their best to secure his signing.
Ivan Toney was also on the radar of Arsenal but Osimhen is their main priority. Brentford set a big asking price for Toney and the Gunners have to face a tough task to sign the Bees striker.
On the other hand, Osimhen’s signing won’t be easy as the Nigeria international could remain in Serie A. Former Italy striker Alessandro Matri has tipped him to move to Juventus.
He said, as quoted by Football Italia, “I would not rule out Osimhen going to Juventus. If Vlahovic ends this season well, he could be sold for €70m, while Matias Soulé can also bring in a very healthy profit.
“The purchase would not be unsustainable and don’t forget Juve has done this before with Gonzalo Higuain. They saved money this season and if they qualify for the Champions League, they’d have that extra cash to spend.”
