Kai Havertz speaks out on slow start to his Arsenal campaign.

The North London club decided to spend £65 million for the German international who became Mikel Arteta’s first signing of the summer.

Havertz is expected to earn £330,000-a-week and so far has failed to his the ground running.

The German playmaker is yet to score a goal or an assist which is a huge concern for Arsenal fans especially after the hefty price attached to his summer transfer.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man has received immense backlash for his performances on the pitch in the first four Premier League games for the Gunners.

In a recent interview, Havertz explained how he has approached the current situation in a relaxed manner.

Havertz said: “Sure, things like that keep you busy.

“But I’ve often had a phase and that you often only see the negative. It’s not the first club where I’m starting over.

“Of course, you want to be successful as quickly as possible, but I know that there are phases like that. I try to approach it in a relaxed manner.”
