In order to increase the transfer budget, Mikel Arteta is probably going to try to sell some players this summer, including Arsenal centre back Kieran Tierney. After suffering an odd injury during Scotland’s match against Switzerland in the Euro 2024, Kieran Tierney, an Arsenal defender, was brought out on a stretcher.
Tierney found himself at odds with Swiss attacker Dan Ndoye after making a fresh start for the Scots. The 27-year-old seemed to injure his left hamstring as he overstretched while breaking toward goal.
However, the Arsenal player understood right away that his night was done, and he motioned for a replacement. Depending on the severity of the injury, Tierney, who was carted off the field on a stretcher, is probably going to miss the rest of the group stages and possibly the entire competition.
In light of the possibility that Kieran Tierney may be out of the competition for the duration, Scotland midfielder Kenny McLean acknowledges that the injury toll on the team has been “freak” and “unforgiving.” Scotland’s crucial Euro 2024 Group A match against Hungary on Sunday will not include defender Kieran Tierney.
Tierney played 27 games for Real Sociedad while on loan there during the previous season. The Scotland international is reportedly not expected to sign with the La Liga outfit this summer, although an Emirates Stadium departure is still inevitable.
