Kieran Tierney has been struggling to get back into first-team.
Mikel Arteta has started a completely new back-line this season with William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes at the centre of defence.
Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ben White are deployed in the wing-back positions.
Summer signing Zinchenko has a different tactical approach to that of Kieran Tierney who might need to learn a new role to break into the first-team.
Campbell said: “Well Kieran Tierney has obviously seen how good Zinchenko is!
“Tierney’s come in, he’s played up and down the left-hand side. He’s seen what a difference it makes to the team when ZInchenko moves into midfield.
“Now, if he can’t do it, that puts him at a disadvantage, that’s for sure. We’ve seen the likes of Kyle Walker at Manchester City. He was an up and down right-back who now goes into that midfield and play.
“Obviously it’s going to be a bit foreign to Tierney.
“It’s not going to natural to him, but to make this Arsenal team tick, maybe he has to take on some of those traits and learn how to do it.
“He can tackle, he can run, he can get close to people, and he can shoot.
“So, opportunities are going to open up for Tierney to play in that position.”
