Arsenal injury updates ahead of Chelsea clash: Return dates for Saka, Partey, Saliba and Trossard

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been dealing with a number of injury issues ahead of their match against London rivals Chelsea. The Gunners will be expecting to see Bukayo Saka and Thomas Partey return to action, though their availability is still unknown.

Saka, who suffered hamstring and thigh injuries against RC Lens in the Champions League, missed the game against Manchester City and will not be part of England’s team for the international break. Arteta expressed disappointment at the loss of the valuable winger and identified the importance of the team adapting without him. Saka’s planned return date is unclear at the moment.

On the other hand, Thomas Partey made a comeback for Ghana before the international break after recovering from a previous groin injury. However, he had to be replaced at halftime, raising questions about his fitness. The degree of his injury and his availability for the Chelsea game are still unknown but can he can play 45 minutes against Chelsea.

Along with Saka and Partey, Leandro Trossard is out with a hamstring injury with an unknown return date. Despite being one of Arsenal’s best performers against Manchester City, William Saliba has recovered from a toe injury and is scheduled to return against Chelsea on October 21.

Arsenal will need to overcome these injuries and fight hard against Chelsea in order to secure a win and retain their momentum in the Premier League. The availability of key players such as Saka and Partey could be critical in their bid for victory.
